Teaching Peace and Justice
The Center endeavors to teach young children ages 2 1/2-8 peacemaking skills.
We advocate teaching children to:
- like themselves
- be a good friend
- help others
- treat animals kindly
- help care for the earth
- work out differences with words, teamwork, patience and goodwill
We look to adult caregivers to select and share peace books, games, films, and activities with their children. We believe that using books to create meaningful discussions in and out of the classroom is a successful path to teaching peace and justice. Please join us on this journey!
