We are very happy to announce the winners for the 2016 Peace Study Center Prize at the Maryland History Day Contest! Congratulations to Zoey Craddock and Chloe Kerstetter from Lockerman Middle School for their exhibit about “Jane Goodall,” and to Ray Gebhardt and Spencer Nattans from Calvert Hall College High School for their website, “Christmas Truce of 1914.”
Our award, the Peace Study Center Prize, is given to entries that best examine the aesthetics of peace, justice, or non-violence as a way to sustain our earth, promote global awareness and support the dignity of all persons. The Maryland History Day Contest is sponsored by the Maryland Humanities Council and is open to students in grades 6-12.
