We are very happy to announce the winners for the 2015 Peace Study Center Prize at the Maryland History Day Contest! Congratulations to Katrina Marinelli and Grace Walsh-Little from Roland Park Middle School for their website project, “Dorothy Day – Revolution of the Heart: The Dawn of a New Day,” and to Quentin Boustany and Isaac Koerner from Mount St. Joseph High School for their documentary, “82 Days: Lumumba and the Dawn of African Democracy.”
Our award, the Peace Study Center Prize is given to entries that best examine the aesthetics of peace, justice, or non-violence as a way to sustain our earth, promote global awareness and support the dignity of all persons. The Maryland History Day Contest is sponsored by the Maryland humanities Council and is open to students in grades 6-12.
